   Information you provide in the course of business, for example through business cards, correspondence, meetings, audits or contracts: name, company, department, title and contact details.

   Information you provide when applying for a position with us.

   Technical information collected automatically when you visit this website, such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed and access times (see section 9).

We use personal information for the following purposes:

• to respond to and handle inquiries;
• to communicate about business transactions, technical assessments, quotations and contracts, and to perform them;
• to conduct quality, regulatory and audit-related communication with customers and partners;
• to provide information about our services;
• to conduct recruitment and contact applicants;
• to operate, secure and improve this website; and
• to comply with legal obligations.

We do not use personal information beyond the scope necessary for these purposes without your consent, except where permitted by law.

We do not provide personal information to third parties without your consent, except in the following cases:

• where permitted or required by laws and regulations;
• where necessary to protect a person’s life, health or property and obtaining consent is difficult;
• where necessary to cooperate with a national or local government body performing statutory duties and obtaining consent could impede those duties; or
• as described in sections 5 and 6.

Inquiries received through this website and business contact information may be used jointly with our shareholder, Zaza Industrial Holdings K.K. (Toranomon Towers Office, 4-1-28 Toranomon, Minato-ku, Tokyo 105-0001, Japan), for the purpose of responding to inquiries and conducting business development and partnership activities.

The information used jointly is limited to the items listed in section 2(a) and (b). The party responsible for the management of jointly used personal information is Fujimino Pharma K.K., at the address stated in section 1.

We may entrust the handling of personal information to external service providers within the scope necessary for the purposes of use, and we exercise necessary and appropriate supervision over them. The principal providers are:

   Website hosting and inquiry form: Netlify, Inc., United States of America. Information submitted through the form is stored on servers located in the United States of America and is forwarded to us by email. The provider processes this information only on our instructions, under contractual terms requiring appropriate security measures. Information on the personal-information protection system of the United States of America is published by the Personal Information Protection Commission of Japan. By submitting the form, you consent to this processing.

2. (b)

   Email and business systems: Microsoft 365. Correspondence and business contact information are processed in Microsoft data centers located in the European Union, whose personal-information protection system the Personal Information Protection Commission of Japan has designated as equivalent to Japan’s.

3. (c)

   Website analytics: Netlify, Inc., United States of America, compiles aggregated visitor statistics from the server logs of the website (see section 9).

Where personal information is handled by a provider outside Japan, we take measures based on an understanding of the protection system of that country, as described in section 7.

We take the following measures to prevent the leakage, loss or damage of personal information:

Basic policy and rules

This policy and internal rules on the handling of personal information at each stage of acquisition, use, storage, transfer and disposal.

Organizational measures

A designated person responsible for the handling of personal information, defined responsibilities for employees who handle it, and procedures for reporting and responding to incidents.

Personnel measures

Regular training of employees and confidentiality obligations in employment rules.

Physical measures

Access control to areas and equipment where personal information is handled, and measures against theft or loss of devices and documents.

Technical measures

Access controls, password and authentication management, and protection against unauthorized access and malicious software.

External environment

Where personal information is handled in a foreign country, we take measures based on an understanding of that country’s personal-information protection system (see section 6).

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes of use or as required by law, and then delete or anonymize it. Inquiry records that do not lead to a business relationship are deleted within a reasonable period.

This website does not use cookies or similar technologies to identify or track visitors, and it does not load third-party analytics or advertising scripts.

To understand in aggregate how the site is used, we use the server-side web analytics of our hosting provider, Netlify, Inc. (United States). These statistics are compiled from the server logs that are generated when a page is requested (the page requested, the referring site, browser type, an approximate location derived from the IP address, and the time of access) and are made available to us only in aggregated form, such as the number of page views and daily visitors per page and per country. IP addresses are used to count visitors and are not used by us to identify anyone.

The information in the server logs is processed by Netlify on our behalf (see section 6). Netlify’s handling of this data is described at netlify.com/privacy.

You may request notification of the purposes of use, disclosure, correction, addition or deletion, suspension of use, suspension of provision to third parties, or disclosure of records of provision to third parties, regarding personal data we hold about you.

Please send your request to the contact point in section 11. We will verify your identity (and, for a representative, their authority) and respond without delay in accordance with the APPI. Disclosure will be provided in writing or, if you request it, in electronic form. We do not charge a fee for these requests.
